![]() ![]() 4 ports in a LAG to determine if one setup or another produced better performance for the LAN traffic. I never had time or a real need to play with 2 ports vs.I remember when I put these LAG's in place, I noticed an sharp increase in the time it took for a computer to get an IP via DHCP after booting. The Netgear switches each have 4 gigabit fiber ports in a LAG going to the TOR switch - using 4 ports in each LAG because each switch happens to have 4 fiber ports.4 Netgear GS748TP (48 gigabit copper ports and 4 gigabit fiber ports each) switches connecting to that TOR switch. ![]() 1 top of rack FOS-3124 switch w/ 24 gigabit fiber ports. My current setup (everything is gigabit): Just curious if there is a common practice for how many ports to include in a LAG (in Netgear terms, a Link Aggregation Group, what Windows Server calls NIC Teaming).
